Concrete work

Nordecon Betoon is a subsidiary of Nordecon, established in 2000. The main activities of the company are concreting work and assembly of reinforced concrete elements. The portfolio of the company includes building of concrete structures for several businesses and production and apartment buildings: for example, the main building of Eesti Raudtee, the Marienthal office and shopping centre and Nordea House in Tallinn.

The Concrete Association of Estonia announced the winner of the Concrete Structure of the Year 2011 contest to be the acoustic sculpture “Cromatico” situated in the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds.

For the construction of Miiduranna Villa the company was awarded the “Concrete Construction of the Year” prize of the Estonian Concrete Union and the Association of Construction Material Producers of Estonia.

Besides buildings, Nordecon Betoon has also built a number of bridges and overpasses. For instance, the overpasses in Tarbja, Mäo, Valgma and Mäo centre and Vodja bridge at the Mäo intersection on the Tallinn-Tartu highway completed in 2010, as well as overpasses at the Koidula border station and on the Vaida-Aruvalla section of the Tallinn-Tartu highway.

Nordecon’s turnover increased in Q1 by more than a quarter when compared to the previous year

The sales revenue of Nordecon AS amounted to 22.5 million euros in Q1 of 2012, which is 27% more on the year-over-year basis. The group recorded gross profit of 36,000 euros in Q1, which means year-over-year improvement of approximately 109,000 euros. The volume of the contracts portfolio and continuous rise in the efficiency of the construction activities allows the group to see the remaining year with moderate optimism.

Nordecon signed a contract with Selvaag Sakala for the construction of an office building in Tallinn city centre

Nordecon AS and Selvaag Sakala OÜ, a subsidiary of the Norwegian real estate group Selvaag Gruppen, signed a contract for the construction of an office building in Tallinn city centre, at Kentmanni 4/Sakala 10. The cost of construction work will be approximately 4.3 million euros.

Nordecon receives award for world’s best metal roof at trade fair

At the Eesti Ehitab 2012 trade fair today, Detlef Strauch, Secretary-General of the International Federation for the Roofing Trade, presented Nordecon AS with the award for its construction of the best metal roof in the world – that of the Ahhaa Science Centre.

Composition of the Management Board of Nordecon AS to change

With a view to enhancing the management structure of the Nordecon group and regulating the management of the core business, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Nordecon AS will propose, at the regular meeting of the Supervisory Board to be held on 30 April 2012, to change the composition of the Management Board of Nordecon AS.
