Road construction

Nordecon has been active in road construction since 1990, and this includes main contracting, designing and project management.

During these years we have laid different types of covers on roads (I-V class), parking lots, ports, airports, stadiums and squares all over Estonia and abroad. Based on this experience our engineers find the best solutions to all wishes and problems. The company provides full solutions with its own staff starting from idea, design and construction and ending with the procedures needed to obtain authorisation for use.

In the framework of the general contracting project of Mäo intersection completed in 2010 as the first and so far biggest design and construction contract in Estonia, Nordecon re-built the Tallinn-Tartu-Võru-Luhamaa road at the Mäo intersection as a 1st class two-way road with two lanes both ways and with a dividing strip, three cross-roads which are grade separated, access roads and squares in the new Mäo centre and light-traffic roads with a length of 4.5 km.

During 2011-2013 Nordecon will prepare a design for the E263 Tallinn-Tartu-Võru-Luhamaa road 13.05 km-long Aruvalla-Kose road section with 2+2 lanes and a separation zone with intersections consisting of grade-separated junctions, including carriageways and light-traffic roads meeting the requirements of a class I road and will execute the construction work thereof.

During the same time period Nordecon will reconstruct the Luige junction based on the design solution provided by the Client. During the construction process of the Luige grade-separated junction a 2.7 km-long section of the Tallinn Roundabout on main road no. 11 will be re-constructed as a road with 2+2 lanes meeting the requirements of a class I road. Within this section the existing 1+1 lane road section will be connected to a 2+2 lane road to be constructed on both ends. Two circular intersections will be constructed that are meant to replace the existing junctions with the Tallinn Roundabout and Tallinn-Rapla-Türi support road. Also carriageways and light traffic ways will be built. The project includes construction of one road overpass and one light traffic overpass.

For performing work Nordecon uses the most modern machinery which is equipped with laser and GPS technology, ensuring rapid completion of processes with high quality.
