The other half of Nordecon’s portfolio of services includes general contracting and project management in the field of civil engineering works: road construction and maintenance, engineering and environmental construction, rental of building equipment, and production of road construction materials. Nordecon’s subsidiaries include Nordecon Betoon, specialising in designing and building concrete works; Kaurits, specialising in rental of heavy equipment and contracting; and Järva Teed and Hiiu Teed, both specialising in maintenance of county roads.

In the field of civil engineering works, Nordecon offers the services of general contracting, as well as management of design work and project management.

Nordecon’s second main specialty in civil engineering is hydrotechnical structures and environmental works. Nordecon has carried out various projects closing domestic waste disposal sites and landfills containing heavy metals, also building water treatments plants, piping systems and pump rooms. In the field of hydrotechnical structures, Nordecon has been involved in building several big Estonian ports, constructing berths, breakwaters, bank protections and performing other large-scale engineering works.

Nordecon Betoon mainly specialises in designing and building concrete works, including bridges, overpasses, viaducts, tunnels, basements and reinforced concrete frameworks for buildings. For ports, Nordecon Betoon has built berths, ramps and breakwaters. Kaurits is involved in rental, sales and maintenance of road construction and earthworks machines, as well as contracting.
