About the company
The construction company Nordecon AS, founded in 1989 (and previously named Eesti Ehitus), has become one of the largest construction groups in Estonia today and is a credible partner in nearly all segments of the construction market.
For many years, the cornerstone of the action strategy of the group has been focusing on general contracting and project management, which balances its work portfolio between buildings and civil engineering works. Supporting activities such as road maintenance and concrete work, which provide added value and efficiency and help manage risks, have been progressively added to the selection of services in order to support the principal activity of the company. Therefore the specialists from Nordecon are able to provide high-quality and comprehensive services to our clients in the construction of business centres, production buildings and non-residential buildings, as well as in fields of infrastructure – roads, landfills, utility networks and port civil engineering works.
Our projects have included closing the Sillamäe radioactive waste depository, the Mäo interchange, the DSV logistics centre, the Nordea building in Tallinn, the Lõunakeskus shopping centre, the science centre AHHAA and the Tigutorn building in Tartu and the galvanisation factory ArcelorMittal Tallinn (formerly Galvex) located at the Port of Muuga – all of which are perfect examples of the mastery of the company. Nordecon, as the most experienced company operating in the field of port construction in Estonia, has successfully constructed and reconstructed more than 20 hydraulic structures in key ports around the country.
Nordecon Betoon, a subsidiary of Nordecon, specialises in the construction of concrete structures in both Estonia and Finland. The subsidiary Kaurits focuses on rental of heavy-duty construction equipment and contracting while the subsidiaries Järva Teed and Hiiu Teed focus on provincial road maintenance. Eston Ehitus offers general contracting services for buildings similar to the parent company, mainly in Western Estonia. Nordecon conducts activities in Ukraine through its subsidiary Eurocon. We have temporarily suspended operations on our other foreign markets in Latvia and Lithuania.
We merged the largest subsidiaries of the group, Nordecon Ehitus (named Linnaehitus until 2009) which focused on the construction of buildings, and Nordecon Infra (named Aspi until 2009) which specialised in civil engineering works, with the parent company at the end of 2010. Activities are continuing under the common business name Nordecon AS.
Nordecon is a member of the Estonian Association of Construction Entrepreneurs and the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The shares of Nordecon AS have been listed on Tallinn Stock Exchange since 18 May 2006.
