End of works
The Aruvalla - Kose section of the Tallinn - Tartu - Võru - Luhamaa Highway stretches from the kilometre 26.6 of the road to kilometre 40. The main road was rebuilt into a four-lane I class highway with a length of 13 km. All crossings with the main road are taken to separate levels – the total length of intersections and ramps is 7.8 km. In addition to landscaping, 20.1 km of collector and access roads were built, as well as 7.1 km of cycle and pedestrian tracks and 6.9 km of noise barriers. Collision barriers, road lighting, and traffic control devices were installed. Two grade-separated interchanges and two crossings were built under the project, with a total of three overpasses and two tunnels. The main road bridges across the Pirita River and Kuivajõe River have also been completed, as well as the first green bridge in Estonia, the collector road bridge and the cycle and pedestrian tract bridge across the Pirita River, and a cycle and pedestrian tunnel.
