Nordecon and its subsidiary Nordecon Betoon to build the Estonian largest production hall for modular houses in Harku rural municipality
Nordecon and Nordecon Betoon concluded an agreement with OÜ ITT Capital to build a production hall for modular houses in Kumna village in Harku rural municipality for OÜ Harmet. The total value of the agreement exceeds 9 million Euros, excluding VAT. In addition to the construction costs, OÜ Harmet will invest an extra 5 million Euros to launch a new production unit.
“We have been building modular house or space elements already over 15 years and the quality of our works has gained recognition in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Scandinavian countries, “said Toomas Kalev, the chairman of the board of OÜ Harmet. “The volume of orders has increased; the existing production spaces have become tight and do not meet the modern standards. If we want to be effective, guarantee the best quality, offer a competitive price for customers and improve working conditions for the staff, the investment will be inevitable.”
“Harmet is one of the largest producers of modular houses and construction trailers in Estonia – we are glad that we can contribute to their development,” said Jaano Vink, the chairman of the board of Nordecon. “In recent years not many production halls are being established in Estonia, therefore building a production hall for modular houses is currently the largest that type of project for Nordecon. We will begin with the works right in August and we will deliver the completed building with utilities to the customer in less than a year – in Jul 2017.”
The production hall with a total area of 26 845 m² comprises one-storied production space, one-storied warehousing area and three-storied office and accommodation space. In addition to the production hall, necessary access passages and areas with utilities will be built. Harmet OÜ production hall for modular houses will be established in Kumna village in Harku rural municipality at the address of Puussepa road 4.
OÜ Harmet, founded in 1992, is one of the largest producers of modular houses or building’s space elements in Estonia, providing a complete solution from designing to installing a building. In addition to the above mentioned three production halls, there is a production hall in Paljassaare where Harmet Constructions, the subsidiary of OÜ Harmet that is specialised in special projects is located.
