Nordecon International AS (up to 3.2009 known as Eesti Ehitus) is a leading civil and infrastructure builder on the Estonian market. During our 20 years of activity, we have designed and built complex industrial and warehouse buildings as well as technical structures. As the most experienced port builder in Estonia, we have completed over 20 projects, including extensive construction works at Sillamäe Port and numerous construction and reconstruction works on four ports belonging to the Port of Tallinn.
As a construction company centred on general contracting and project management, our most important asset is know-how and we are continuously placing great emphasis on the preservation and development thereof. Within the past two years, we have increased our training budget by 60%, whereas the number of specialists in the company has increased by 33%. We consider it important to keep up with innovation in our principal activity as well as in our support units. Thus, the intragroup integrated IT systems of Nordecon International are among the best in the construction market, making it possible to observe the activity on the construction sites in real time, manage costs, personnel and keep accounts.
Since its founding in 1989, Nordecon International has become a group including several subsidiaries. The acquisition of holdings in new companies and the integration thereof in the group has brought the necessary know-how and helped to create a balanced service portfolio.
In 2002, we acquired majority ownership in the construction company Linnaehitus AS(nowadays Nordecon Ehitus AS), mainly operating in Southern Estonia, the road construction company Aspi AS(nowadays Nordecon Infra AS) with subsidiaries Hiiu Teed OÜ and Järva Teed AS. The know-how in concrete works brought the company the acquisition of majority ownership in Nordecon Betoon OÜ at the end of 2004. In 2006, Kaurits OÜ, mainly engaged in the renting of road construction and earthworks machines, joined the group.
We also operate in immovable property development by ourselves as well as in cooperation with majority shareholder Nordic Contractors AS.
The activity of Eesti Ehitus in Ukraine is managed and developed by Eurocon OÜ, founded in 2004. We have constructed buildings in Ukraine for more than 10 years and we are acknowledged in this market for our international background as well as transparency.
The spring of 2006 was an important milestone in the history of the company – on 18 May 2006, the Tallinn Stock Exchange started to trade shares of Nordecon International.
